Getting down to business

Thursday, January 10, 2013

I woke up at the same time I always do, but work has me coming in early by 3 hours. I only had 30 minutes till I had to leave once I got all my morning chores done.

I'm trying to set up a Biggest Loser program at work. I have it cleared through my boss, his boss, and HR, so I just have to work out all the details. I'm excited because there a number of people at the office that I believe could benefit from it, including myself

Tonight, Dylan and I went to the gym again. We got on the elliptical and went for 40 minutes. It was AWESOME. Elliptical is much more fun when I have him next to me.
Wish I had done more, but it's great that Dylan is getting into a habit and he actually pushed to go 10 extra minutes. He was sweaty when we were done. It's awesome.

I've also put it in my mind that I am doing the Louisiana Half-Marthon that is January next year. I'll be doing a 5k in March, a 10 k in April, try to maintain and improve on the treadmill over the summer, then another event in October, November, and December.

I know how great it is to have support from friends both verbally and physically! My best friend is always checking in on me and asking when we can meet up at the gym together! It's great and makes it more fun that work..

I love your goals! There seems to always been themed runs at any length which can make it fun and give you something to look forward to! And its such a great feeling to be running, sweating and exhausted and you cross that finish line and feel incredible. emoticon emoticon emoticon
