Well, I'm trying to keep my habit of getting active before my day starts. Starting today though, I'll be doing double duty. Dylan's decided to start coming with me to the gym, and today is his first day. We're going after I get off of work, so I'll get two workouts each day. I think I'll keep the first workout to just cardio, and the 2nd I'll do cardio and strength. He'd like to stay for at least an hour, so that's pretty ambitious of him and perfect for me because that's how long cardio + strength takes for me. I'll try not to burn myself out. I have a wedding in 5 months, and I'd like to lose at least another 20, maybe even 30 lbs.
This morning's run was ... interesting. It's warmed up a little now that the rain has passed, and there aren't so many puddles around. Somehow though, I managed to get a sharp pain in my ankle in the middle of Mile 2. I walked a way, then picked up running for the last .25 and the pain was gone by then. Not sure what that was, but I wasn't a fan.
Between the walking of my ankle and crossing traffic, I only managed a 16 minute mile. UGH! I'll do better tonight when I get on the treadmill for intervals. I still managed to work up a sweat, so change will still come from it.
