Sleepless Night

Sunday, January 06, 2013

Ugh! I'm so tired. I couldn't sleep at all last night. I just felt "weird". So I downloaded the movie "Supersize Me" as suggested by my good spark friend SUCCESS_IN_2013. It gave me a lot to think about. I know that today I will be driving by McDonald's instead of stopping by the drive-thru!

Yesterday I went to the beauty salon to get my hair done and my eyebrows waxed. It's been too long since I've felt pretty. Today I'm going to get a pedicure while the boys are watching football. I might even take my first walk of 2013 around the track.

Going to set up my healthy food choices for today so I don't have time or excuses not to. I have some almonds and orange slices all ready to go. I'm going to grab some Special K because I know my son wants to go to Ihop for all-you-can-eat-pancakes this morning. emoticon

Nothing earth shattering to speak about today. Just going to make it the best day that I possible can. You all do the same.

emoticon Hattie

I am so glad you watched that movie, Hattie. It was a great suggestion by a Sparkler. McD is not your friend. I do love McDonalds - I love their restroom availability when I travel on roadtrips but I have to say, I don't eat there very often. I went through a phase where I was hooked on their oatmeal cookies. Those cookies contributed to my fatness, for sure. The comment by Success_in_2013 is really horrifying and should definitely break your habit - YIKES!! I have seen the movie "Supersize Me" so now I need to read the book, and share some of the information with Payton, who is a fan of fast food burgers. Have a relaxing rest-of-Sunday, beautiful Hattie.

I'm so glad you got to watch it, for me it made so much difference--although not as much difference as the book made! In the book he talked to a boy who worked at a morgue, and when they cremated really fat people, the fat would melt and run over the metal plate the body was on, and the smell of the melting human fat is identical to the smell in the parking lot of McD! ugh! I can't even smell that smell without thinking about it.

How's that for a McD cure. emoticon
