My baby steps

Thursday, January 03, 2013

While reviewing my goals and making plans for new workouts and such I am taking baby steps to get things moving a bit. What might I be doing you ask, well read on:

I've been using my company provided resistance band to do upper body exercises at my desk

I've been sitting at my desk and doing leg raises

I've been standing at my desk and doing leg stretches

I've been doing squats and plie squats in the restroom each time I go

I'm climbing the stairs on my paper route 2 at a time

I'm doing counter top push-ups in the restroom or the breakroom

I'm increasing my fruits and veggies every day plus increasing my lean meat and cutting back on my red meat and prepared foods.

These are all small things but they can have a big impact, what are you doing to ensure success in 2013. . . . . .

Awesome! :) One step at a time will eventually become a mile, and then a trip walking cross country. emoticon emoticon

emoticon I joined three SP challenges in January and you HAVE to find ways to get the fitness in at work in order to keep your commitments. I've been doing a few things similar to what you have except I do jumping jacks in each time I go to the bathroom. How appropriate, right? emoticon

Keep up the good work! Those small changes add up to big things! emoticon

emoticon exercise ideas while at work. I think you're right - slow changes over time seem to work better for me too.

Wow, you manage to get a lot of exercise in at work! I think I'll do some squats next time I'm in the restroom. Keep up the great work! emoticon
