Happy New Year everyone!
Of course, new year is a time of new resolutions, new committments, new goals, and I like everyone else will have all of those things.
For the past 2 weeks, which I was off of work, and visiting, and socializing, and playing, and holiday eating and enjoying all those things, I didn't pop on here much. I didn't track, I just enjoyed things (in moderation, of course). To me, this didn't hurt my progress, I looked at it like maintenance, and I accepted that every now and then you need a break and a vacation from things. This lets me come back refreshed and renewed.
So now, today starts back with tracked and better behavior. I feel really good about things. I am happy for a consistent schedule, that involves regular hours, scheduled exercise, and work.
By the way, I also got a fitbit for Christmas, so I am interested in how that it going to play in to things. I can't believe I forgot to wear it when I went dancing on New Year's Eve -- I wanted to see how it tracked all my dancing! But no matter, again, the regular schedule is what I really want to see.
I am looking at this as a brand new start right now. I love the success I have had so far, but I want to go back to basics. The wonderment of learning, and satisfaction of progress. So the goals are nothing crazy, just the usual do it right stuff:
Track all foods.
Make good choices as much as possible.
Drink 8 or more glasses of water each day.
Take a multivitamin every day.
Exercise daily.
Fitbit - 10,000 steps (or activity level) each day.
Breakfast on plan -- cereal or oatmeal, milk or yogurt, fruit, sometimes eggs.
Lunch on plan -- something brought from home.
Dinner on plan -- something made at home more often than not, or a good restaurant choice.
Exercise:
Today -- Walk It Out
Tomorrow -- Exerbeat
Friday -- My Fitness Coach.
I got My Fitness Coach for Christmas also, I am looking forward to starting a workout program with it (next week).
Of course, all of this is going to get put on hold again when I go on vacation again on the 12th, but that's okay, we will figure that out later. It will be an active vacation (a ski trip) so I'm again not going to fret too much.
