2012 A look back...

Tuesday, January 01, 2013

Jan. 2012 started off fairly well I think, I quit smoking on the 22nd after 35yrs. I was surprised how it was so easy to do at that time ( I have to give credit to God on that one). However I started gaining weight after I quit (wasn't really happy about that but I wasn't smoking so I thought that was a good thing).

Feb. comes around and I begin to notice that I am having some tightness in my left leg while walking, not good. I visit my family doctor who says it may be a pinched nerve. Get referral and go to Chiropractor. He does and adjustment and has me come back, leg wasn't any better. He suggest I get a sonogram on leg. I have test and they find blockage. See vascular surgeon to get stint. All goes well and I am ready to get on with life.

The months go by and everything is going well, I can walk with no pain, the weight is still up but I'm ok with that well sorta.

Sept. comes and I begin to have some issues with breathing, see doctor and he recommends seeing Cardiologist and the fun begins WOOHOO! They tried to kill me on stress test but I managed to survive (it wasn't pretty). The findings from the test run shows I have 2 blockages in the heart and 2 in right leg that can be taken care with more stints. I'm thankful that stints are all that was necessary. Thank you Lord!

It wasn't possible to do all the stints at one time so over the course of 3 months I have been getting stints which by the way scares the hell out of me. Not a fan of being put under... Luckily all went well. And I have high blood pressure that freaks the nurses out!

I'm really hoping that 2013 goes a little better than 2012 a few less medical issues would be GREAT, I'm starting this year off about 12 higher than this time last year. I'll own that, I have slipped up a few times on the smoking thing but as of today am back to quitting. I will be getting back on track tomorrow since I will be back to work...

I'm looking forward to what 2013 Brings.

Wishing everyone good luck on their journey!
