Lesson Learned: When Cooking For One Make Only One

If the recipe states: Serves 8, devide by 8. Use a ramekin to bake a pie, or cake.

Make just one cookie or two if you have a DH. No need for you to eat up leftovers so they don't go to waste. Leftovers always go to waist.

    Marty ramekin is a great idea I have made pot pie in them but never baked in them when I cook I DO not make more than 4 servings and freeze the other three then when I don't feel like cooking I just heat it up I got a food savor to vacuuming seal them and they last a long time Loi

    Excellent idea! Those cookie rolls where you just cut off a cookie or two and bake them would work well for this, unless you're a cookie dough eater. They have frozen biscuits where you can just put one or two in the oven at a time, too.

    I usually make half of a recepie. . I always bake in small amounts. If I can't share with my grandsons or family I won't bake it. Even when cooking I make two servings, but immediately store the extra in the fridge for the next day. Out of sight, out of mind.
    Who ever said cooking for one is easier than a family was off base. But I have been alone for so long I have adapted.
