Frustrated... with myself

Monday, November 26, 2012

I am so frustrated with myself this morning that I don't even know where to begin!
I admit that the past 2 months have not been the best. I actually did okay in October, then really struggled in November with food and exercise. I know that not getting exercise combined with not the best food choices is a bad combination, but I had not expected this bad. How bad could it possibly be? Let's just say a 12 pound weight gain in 2 months.

I'm not sure how that is even possible! I didn't gain weight at that rate even when I was eating whatever I wanted and didn't exercise at all! And while the past 2 months haven't been great, I didn't give up, I still made a lot of good decisions.

All I can do now is buckle down and get back on track, 100%. That will be more challenging with Christmas on the way, but I need to stay strong and keep that will power. Hopefully some of this gain is water retention or bloating, but who knows, maybe it isn't. I can't count on that.

Well, I'm off to change my ticker. Always so depressing to do, but I want to keep it accurate and hold myself accountable.

I completely understand this as I too gained weight over the past year. It's fustrating when we know how hard we worked to get where we were and how easy it seems to be to slip. Just remember how good it felt to achieve your goal or a smaller size. how great you felt after a run...you are an amazing person and this is just one small setback. You will have the weight back off in no time! emoticon

Sorry to hear your frustrated :( Hang in there - you've lost the weight before, I know you can do it again! I've found that if I log all of my food in SP, but use the fitbit site to monitor how many calories I can eat, I've done much better with maintaining my weight. For some reason, the SP ticker never seems to make sense to me, but the fitbit site's calorie allowance is constantly adjusting based on my activity level. If you decide to try this, just be aware that food tracked on your SP i-phone app does not sync to Fitbit, but if you do all of your food tracking online in SP it seems to sync just fine.

Also, is there anything you'd like to do together? I'd love to do some sort of "challenge" or ???

    Hang in there! You rock!

I definitely would have to say that some of it has GOT to be water weight. I don't believe you've gained 6 pounds a month when you are still doing at least some stuff towards being healthy.

But alas, I know you are someone that can definitely buckle back down and achieve her goals in no time...so hang in there but don't forget to have a great holiday season while you're at it! Maybe it's time to sign up for another half marathon?

Lisa, you have done it before, you will do it again...be successful is what I mean. I can relate to the weight gain...in multiples! But we are alive and kickin and sparkin and we will decide our future! Looking forward to watching that ticker head Lisa's way! emoticon

Ugh, changing that ticker is not fun....good for your for being accountable and I know that you will get back to where you were. It all about choices and taking each day one day at a time. You got this!

Good blog. Accountability is huge but once your accountable, move on. Don't let it get you down. I find that when I go off track and begin to log EVERYTHING again that usually I have a great loss that week. Get your water in, I find I hold more water during the winter months.

Great job on getting back on track!
