Once again I'm living in a sickhouse. ugh!

I guess the upside is that I'm not among the sick. The downside is that everyone else is. Being outnumbered 5:1 in this scenario is not fun. We are supposed to visit my mom for Thanksgiving but if we have sick kids we can't go. My step dad can't be around people who are sick. His immune system is way too weak.

My house is still a disaster. I guess we will forego school mon-wed while I tackle trying to disinfect the house and get it in shape so it doesn't frighten anyone who might come in. I finally got the mountain of laundry done and caught up and I'm fairly positive that there are no more boxes lurking that are full of clothes so I think I've tackled that one for the last time. I think I shall take things one room at a time and tackle all the bathrooms and laundry room first, because that will be 4 rooms clean and make me feel like I made some progress. Then we'll just have the kitchen, living room, and bedrooms to go...by far the worst ones but we can divide and conquer!

As predicted I got really very little done today. Completed grocery shopping for a few things to hold us over until we leave, and I picked up some odds and ends at goodwill this afternoon- and found 2 charlotte russe dresses with store tags still on them. Paid 6.99 each. Also found some basketball pants and grabbed 3 pairs of those for 3.99 each. I love those for around the house and cleaning because I dont care if they get dirty or messy or sprayed with bleach, plus it means I don't have to change clothes if I want to hop on a treadmill or pop in a dvd for a quick break between other tasks! I also found a stack of vintage sewing patterns.

Tomorrow I will make my lists for packing for the trip. It takes me awhile to get organized for 6 people, plus I need to make sure I have plenty of food and hay for all the animals...and make sure there's nothing for my kittens to destroy while we are gone. Today they shredded a large plastic bag that I had hanging on my pantry door. It is where I was keeping all my extra plastic grocery bags, so they are all over my floor in there, but they're easy to pick up because I football fold them to store so they take up less space, and that means they're simple to scoop up.

Everyone now has their cold medicine and the kids are heading to bed. I think I will stay up and have some quiet time for myself before heading to bed in an hour or so. 530 will come soon! Hot bath here I come!
