I did it, I didn't mean to at all and when i look back im shocked that i let it happen. I thought that i was prepared for tonight and the temptation that was in front of me but I was sorely mistaken. Tonight me and my hubby took our 2yr old daughter out trick or treating and met up with some friends. We had a blast going down 3 streets, one street even had to neighbors across from each other all set up with pirate decorations and they did a whole battle scene it was awesome.
After we finished we went to my best friends house to chill for a bit before heading home. Once home is where everything went bad, the last time I had eaten it was 4pm and here it was about 1030pm and i was super hungry but instead of making smart choices i saw the bag on candy and went crazy. I had 3 reese and 2 snickers and 2 kit kats.... i feel sooo yucky and it wasnt even that good! Ugh I would totally be mad at myself but even with the candy i was in my calorie range, im just disappointed that those are the choices i made. Im going to literally shower the feelings away and wake up tomorrow with a fresh new start. I WILL not let myself be phased by a mistake that I can learn from.

    I say... When the moment doesn't take over -like eating the whole bag or half the bag you did pretty damn good to me. So, you ate. I would not call that a binge. A binge girl is when you eat for hours, and that didn't last for an hour. Girl! I had to get the full understanding of a binge, and a binge is just going crazy and mindless. Did you binge? Hell no, you just reached for something simple, and you didn't have a back up plan in place. We all do it. Don't feel bad and don't feel yunky. You stayed in range.

    Pfft....girl, that's NOTHING compared to what I got into that night! I love Halloween (and the candy that goes with it) too much to deprive myself. Instead, I made myself a deal - eat whatever you want today but until Dec.24th, no chips, no candy, no fast food, no booze. I feel like it was a fair trade-off and the best part was not feeling guilty about it later.

    Sometimes you just have to let yourself indulge and chalk it up to enjoying a holiday or life. One day isn't going to ruin your efforts, you have to be realistic in order for this to be permanent. If you stayed within your calorie range, it's SO not a big deal.

    It's a matter of perspective. I felt strange about having two fun size pieces of candy since I rarely eat candy. It didn't make me feel sick or anything. I felt weird about it since I'm not eating enough protein foods and high fiber foods. I need to eat more vegetables and high protein foods. Candy doesn't provide protein or other valuable nutrients and I felt them to be a waste. emoticon

    Seven pieces of candy is not a binge.

    I am glad you had fun trick or treating with your husband and little one! Let me just say, from my point of view I totally don't see this as a binge, I see it as you had some candy. ;) Isn't it crazy how our perspectives change? It's awesome. When I look at a bad day where I feel I "binged", I am still well under the calories I would have eaten on a "normal day" before my journey. So just try to remember that. I know you said you are a big sweets person, so the fact that you had 7 pieces and not 10 or 20 is still an accomplishment. Sometimes when we get too hungry it can be hard to control ourselves. Like you said though, tomorrow is a new day, woohoo! emoticon
