Baby steps

Saturday, October 27, 2012

I made the mistake of trying to increase my speed on the treadmill too fast this week and wound up with strained knees. I have been hobbling around all week ever since. emoticon I sure learned my lesson! I am swimming for now until I can get back on the treadmill, once I heal, I plan on taking baby steps! emoticon

Welcome to SP. It's a great site! Be sure and sign up for Spark America and when you set up your exercises, just remove any you can't do or don't want and put in those you do. Be sure and schedule a day for cardio so you have access to the "other exercises" page where the walking, housework, playing with children etc. are to be found. When you are done, set up your Appointment calendar to send you reminders and when they come, click on the link then fitness and just check them off as you do them. Such a great feature. Use your spark points page to help you use and learn all the fantastic tools we have at this site. Visit others pages and get to know them better. Again, welcome to a great site.

Remember that movie "What About Bob?" with Bill Murray. His success was all about baby steps. Remember even with baby steps you are moving.

Always start slowly. Even when you change your eating habits, change the bad ones to good ones one at a time. the slower you make the changes the better because it takes about 3 weeks for a habit to stick and you want good habits this time. Use the trackers that this site has for you.

Even baby steps in the right direction are good steps.
