I woke up with my allergies bothering me today. So I took a allergy pill, and went back to bed. We headed to the ranch about 3pm. When we turned on the dirt road, Alice got that look in her eyes.
We drive slow on the dirt road, so I rolled down the window for Sarge. He has to check everything out as well. Just from a different angle.
We arrived at the ranch. I spotted Rio and Scarlet in the pasture. As we got closer, Belle, and Kramer were there as well. They were paired off in twos.
Dennis cut up an apple for Rio and Scarlet.
I gave Rio and kiss. He looked so contented.
Sarge and Alice were expecting every inch of the ground. Dennis and I walked around and explored the area.
Up on a knoll is a tiny house. Almost looks like a shack, but it has a fire place. You can see a smoke stack.
Across the way from the shack is the Farmer's house. I wouldn't mind living there. Wake up to the natural beauty everyday.
Alice and Sarge took a rest.
It was feeding time, so we put the horses back. I walked over to the goat pen. Everyone was having a feast.
A Raven flew over us with a Walnut in his beak, and one in his claw. Greedy soul.
C-130 flew over us as well.
It was time to leave. We were driving on the country road when I spotted the Kestrel.
We drove a little further down the road when a Red Shoulder Hawk flew right by us, and landed by an old shack.
It was an interesting old shack. Probably been there for years.
Remember the Great Horned Owl Nest? We were so hoping to observe some new chicks this spring. However, the tree trimmers came along not long ago and butchered the tree. I doubt if the Owl will use this tree again. I hope she stays in the area though. It makes me so mad that the city hires people that do not know what they are doing. Plus the tree isn't right next to the road. There was no reason to trim the tree that much, if at all.
Across the street from the poor tree, was the cute little Calf. That put a smile on my face.
I turned around to walk back to the car when I spotted wild flowers. There were 3 of them, and all about the same color, but different types of plants.
We pulled into our driveway when I noticed one of my rose bushes. New flower, woo hoo. My Petunias were looking good as well.
One last shot of the Moon, then it was time to call it a day.
Have a good Friday!
