You asked if I had any special eating plan, I guess it's eating a lot less than I did before. I used to eat pizza like it was going out of style and I've only had one since I started SP. I also really limit my bread to maybe once a day and sometimes not that, limit pasta to 1 package of Ramen noodles occasionally. No sugar except in my morning coffee, no white potatoes, which is exactly what I my doctor told me to do when I first became diabetic. NO whites! (or very few) I don't buy any processed food and I can't keep any snack food in the house except fruit because I can't seem to limit myself to one. I like to make stir fry with lots of veggies and a small portion of meet or chicken. I also like vegetarian curries and bean dishes. Tonight I had chicken and brussels sprouts. I don't like cooking in the morning so I have a cappuccino and Nature Valley granola bars, oats and honey and sometimes a banana. That works for me because it comes pre-portioned whereas if I had cereal I'd go overboard with the milk and sugar and really a single serving of cereal looks so pathetic and lonely in a bowl! I think I need smaller bowl:) My biggest problem is portion control so I've been trying to only cook one serving of things.
I do exercise quite a bit, a 45 (or longer) min. walk with the dogs every day but when I can't do that I go to the fitness center during lunch and work out with weights, the treadmill, the bike, etc. Biking weather is pretty much over here, although I did go out today but it was darn cold and nasty.
I imagine working nights is very difficult and it would be easy to turn to sweets to give you energy to make it through the night. When I get tired that is the first thing I want!
Something else I did was buy a Fitbit, which tracks your activity, and I love using the map feature of the Fitness tracker. I love looking at the map of how far I walked and I also love the reports on SP; I just love charts!

i have been remiss as a dutiful SparkFriend or friend at all and haven't been by as much as I should be. I guess I get wrapped up in my own junk and just forget to read and check in on my buddies. I usually do that on Sunday but my Sunday got blown out of the water!

I am so glad to see you are doing wonderfully. Are you enjoying it on Spark? There's so many cool things to do. And I am addicted to getting as many points as I can. Well, it's better than smoking, and being on here keeps my hands busy so I don't need a cigarette. I found a pack that my friend brought back from Russia for me, and the box is GORGEOUS. Well, I broke down and smoked one last night after all the hard work. It was nice to not enjoy it after being off them for 6 months. Oh, and did I mention they were given to me over 6 years ago! HAHA

Yes, it was pretty gross and as long as it stays that way I am fine and can do another 6 months without them! LOL!

    Take care, lovely,
    Angela
