BLC 20 update

After reviewing my original plan for the 12 weeks, I think I really only need to change one thing that's not working well for me.
One of my goals was to take over the grocery shopping from my husband. My thought on this was that it would enable me to make sure I got all the healthy foods I need for the week. Sometimes I can send my husband to the grocery with what I think is a detailed list, but somehow not end up with what I had in mind.
I found, however, that this backfired on me!!! To me, the grocery store is a minefield right now! There are way too many holiday foods, smells and displays. To a self confessed food junkie, it's a dangerous place. Halloween candy is especially tough to pass up. This is exactly where in years past I have started the traditional "holiday" weight gain that lasted all the way through the New Year.
No, I did NOT buy any junk food, but even being surrounded by it set me off on a food binge that pretty much lasted for two days.
Maybe someday I'll be strong enough to handle this without losing my mind... but that day ain't here yet!!!!
