We were driving over Godde Hills Pass, on our way to the ranch. In this area they have been working on the new power lines. They use a Helicopter carrying transformers to put on top of the towers. The road winds around the hill, and we had just completed a curve when we saw the Helicopter flying low. DH pulled over so I could take a picture. This is what we observed.
Then it flew off.
We arrived at the ranch, and we saw our friend, Farmer Tom. Such a sweet old man.
Some of the horses were willing to pose for me. It looked like it was their nap time. I think the name of this horse is BB.
I can't remember the name of this horse, but he has a beautiful color.
This is Rio. He was a friend of Buddy. It was fun to watch them play with each other. Rio is a real beauty!
Lamb. It's looking at Alice, because Alice was trying to figure out how to get into the pen to play.
That's so cool with the helicopter!! I guess it's the best solution to that ordeal! The horses are so beautiful. Rio is certainly a looker!!Lovin the goats and sheep, too! Always enjoy your birds ! 2606 days ago
Holy cow! My mouth would have been hanging open watching that daredevil on the helicopter rail. Yikes! I'm guessing that job pays pretty well! I love the lamb's look as she watches Alice, seeming to smile. I think they always look like that, but I just love sheep. I had a sheep friend named Willis once when I used to walk at a nature center/ living history farm. It was funny to learn after several years that the workers there had given him that name (they weren't supposed to name the farm animals, because they would sell the livestock or slaughter it, just as the original farm occupants would have). They couldn't resist because he was so particularly friendly and interested in people. Coincidentally, Willis was the name of one of my very best high school friends.
I always enjoy your blogs so much! Great shot of the helicopter, they are fascinating to watch. I refer to them as the hummingbird of aviation! I fought fire with their help and loved watching them! Love thr ranch and all the animals. 2608 days ago
Birds are funny. The fourth area record of Say's Phoebe showed up this week in the Florida Panhandle. I searched and searched not to find it and then like magic here's one or your blog. Ain't life great!
