Losing focus :(

Thursday, October 18, 2012

Ugh I hate this part of the journey, it always happens, I get so pumped up and motivated and then I fall of the wagon and I dont get back on. I am determined not to let that happen this time but I swear I feel like no matter what I always go through these little setbacks. Tomorrow will be better, it has to be. I know I can do this and I can not go back now. *Sigh* Just keep swimming emoticon

Losing focus...gosh that's the theme that all of us can empathize with I'll bet! The biggest thing you're doing is recognizing what you're doing wrong, when the time is right you'll take that knowledge and emoticon with it and that darn old emoticon will start heading the right direction.

My SP friend have been a tremendous help for me - so let us know what we can do for you! emoticon We're all in this together!

Keep swimming, I feel like am going through the cycle also, but am trying to push through.

Dig deep and write down a list of reasons why you desire to lead a healthier lifestyle. Read them daily and keep focusing on them! Set your small goals and reward yourself when you achieve them. Success comes one healthy choice at a time!

I can't always do it on my own. I like a challenge. It may be with a buddy or a team. If I'm doing it by myself then a reward can help... when I do 10 of (cardio days or healthy homecooked meals.... then I can get a haircut or book. If I'm doing it with a buddy then I find it helpful to do a reverse countdown. For some reason if I miss a day in a consecutive streak couting up all I want to do is start over at day one.... but if I start at day 21 and count backwards towards 0 then I can let those days that I don't succeed pass by. What matters is trying to get as many successful days as I can and having a buddy can help me remember that. If it is a team challenge then it's helpful because there is usually someone suggesting challenges that are out of my comfort zone or new things I have never tried. Just attempting them are exciting because I learn something about myself. Every season there is a biggest loser team challenge. I've done that for 2 seasons now. You sign up for a waiting list then are assigned to a team colour. There are inter team challenges so everyone's cardio and ST contributes to the team's points as well as weight loss... so for people like me who lose slowly or who are at a plateau they can still help their team out. In addition there are weekly challenges within the teams that are fun. The group becomes like a family (good and bad, lol) supporting each other. The challenges are 10 weeks though which may be beyond what you want to do... so there are also challenges on the challenge notice boards. What do they say? dont expect the same results when you keep doing the same thing? Who knows, you may find something that really inspires you. I think the secret to keeping with an exercise or food routine is becoming passionate about it. If it does not excite you... there may be something out there that is better! Justyna Hahaha! Just looked at your page.... you ARE on the BL team challenge! emoticon
