Disappointed?

So I don't currently own a scale, I found out about my weight being out of control by going to P.P, for an issue I was having. While there seeing the number on the scale about mad my jaw drop! After that I found spark people and started with the baby steps. Well I went back for a checkup yesterday and was uber disappointed when stepping on the scale it said the same number! But I've been doing so well with the baby steps I thought to myself, shouldn't there be some sort of change for the positive? Coming home I jumped online and clicked over to the motivational tab and what I read had me laughing so hard. To sum it up the article talked about how you can drink your water and track your food but if you don't get off they ass you wont lose any weight. DING! the light-bulb went off in my brain, a duh moment, of course I had been tracking, I have been drinking water... but I haven't been getting off my butt and moving, without moving I'm not burning anything. So today I put on my big girl panties and did the spark video for the cardio kickboxing... I LOVED IT... even with my 2yr old trying to do it with me I did the whole video and couldn't believe how fast it went by and how easy it was to follow along. I love that I had an issue and it was put to rest so quickly by utilizing the motivational tab. My new baby step/goal is to do the cardio kickboxing every other day till I find another video that I can do without any weights or balls lol. Turning a frown upside down.

    Take it as a learning experience. Congrats on finding the problem and starting to fix it! Kickboxing is one of the best exercises for fat loss, so keep it up and start to add some variety after a week or so. You'll start to see and feel amazing results with persistence. :)

    Thanks, it was such a silly thing to look back on and think oh I can lose weight by just drinking my water and watching what I eat! LOL I love how much support is available from everyone on SP!

    I love the kickboxing Video. My goal is to do it 4 to 5 days a week. Congrats on getting up and moving!
