Three steps forward and two steps back!

Sunday, September 02, 2012

I am not good at bloging but I will try.
This is my second try, I was almost finished
with my first one and my computer cut off and I
lost it!
Changing my eating habits is a ongoing challenge.
Old habits are hard to break, but I have not given up!
I have always exercised and love to exercise but with
health issues I seem to go three steps forward and two
steps back. I refuse to give up though because the
alternative is not a option. If I give up I would not be able
to move at all.
I also working on a collage. I am using a journal and using it to write down
everything I am grateful for and adding positive articles and stickers .
Good luck to everyone on their journey and know that I am right
there with you cheering you on!

Spark on !

i tend to feel like i make progress then i step back and am frustrated. i know it is because of my bad habits. if i can get them back under control i should be well on my way.

My blogs used to disappear into cyberspace frequently. Now, I do them in my word processing program and then copy/paste them to Spark. Then, if they disappear, I have a copy to repost.
I've been playing that forward/backward game for about a year now and am getting really tired of it.
emoticon Let's both get serious and push forward!

Even though you might be taking three steps forward and two steps back, you are still moving forward. I am in the same position as you. Even a small amount of progress is better than none. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Success is made up of a lot of little steps. Everything you are doing right now is a part of it: the journaling, stickers, inspirational collages, affirmations, as well as tracking and adding extra activity to your day. If you did not admit to having little setbacks now and then we would know that you were not being honest. It happens to all of us human beings. Keep working on it. Everything tends to get better and easier with practice.

    God bless

One thing that has helped me make changes is i have stopped calling them "habits" as that word sounds so permanent. I now call them "behaviors". so instead of having to break an old habit i now look at it as I need to change a behavior. I replace a new behavior for the old one. Behaviors are always changing like moods do. so this helps me view things differentially........ emoticon emoticon emoticon

Losing weight is definitely a journey. It is worth the changes in the long run. Start with small things then add more things in when you can. I felt overwhelmed when I first started trying to do everything all out and failed miserably. I found it easiest to start with one thing and go to the next. Don't feel like a failure when you slip up and don't be afraid to reach out for help or encouragement from others!

unfortunately 3 steps forward and 2 steps back is a dance that most people do. just keep doing what you are doing and you will be fine. emoticon
