SP Coach Topic: Exercise Excuses & How I Counter Them

I'm tired: Working out is energizing, adds to my sense of competence & increases the quality of my sleep.

It's too wet: Weather doesn't affect my arteries, but lack of exercise does. The dog & I both need to get out for our physical & mental health.

It hurts: This is temporary & of short duration (remember, you will be at the top in 5 minutes.) A heart attack would hurt a lot more! Strength & fitness prevent many painful injuries. Noticing increases in fitness feels fantastic.

I don't feel like it: You will feel an acute sense of pride when you are done & your feeling of overall well being will be greatly increased.

I did it yesterday: Let's do something different today if some recovery time is needed. We can also choose lighter, shorter, more hilly, less hilly, etc.

Gail keep the following in mind:

Exercise is the quickest, easiest way for you to maintain a sense of well being & stave off anxiety.
You feel proud when you can push a wheel barrow or walk up some stairs with ease & grace.
Exercise increases your mental alertness & agility, helping you perform better in other areas.
You really want to keep shopping in the regular sizes instead of plus sizes. ( I always feel the the biggest wave of gratitude for my progress when I am at the store & I am bypassing the "plus" section that used to be my only choice for shopping.)


Too tired, just kidding.
