93 Feeling like signing off

Sunday, August 26, 2012

Waking up with a headache for the third day in a row - I am sure it is because I have a cold lurking which makes my sleep apnea worse and I would need to go to the doctor and try to do something about this again... I tired some years ago, got an oxygen mask but after two months of trying I gave up - just could not sleep with it. Decided to lose weight instead - pah!

And today I don´t feel like sparking at all. Have not done any exercise for two days - which broke a streak of some weeks - and I really don´t feel like doing any movements today either. Thougt that I rather read a book than do my "sparking chores"..

Today I am five years old, I want my mummy!

Glad to get that off my chest!

You can DO it! You are the star of the class team. Just remember -- with the exception of fever -- mild exercise makes almost everything better!

Sometimes it is good to vent those negative feelings.
If you feel your body is experiencing illness then it is definitely time to allow it to rest and take good care of yourself. Then when you are better you can get up and start anew!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

    NEVER GIVE UP!!!

I think you are doing the right thing by listening to your body. If you are getting sick then taking it easy will do you more good than trying to push yourself.

    Hope you feel better soon.

We all have days like this. I hope you soon feel better because I am sure that is not helping you want to move away from that 5 year old feeling.

Aw, I know that 5 year old feeling! Sending you hugs.

It's hard to be motivated or even to move when you have a lurking headache. I find that if I have a headache and it doesn't go away with a walk in fresh air, it needs to be rested instead of exercised. A few days off won't hurt and may well help.

So sorry to hear you're not feeling good - I know that '5-year old feeling'
Just have to add that my elder son has an ' I am 5 today' badge from a birthday longer ago than I care to remember which appears as a sort of joke when he's feeling stressed.
    So you're not alone!
You've worked hard on the theatre project this summer, possibly have a cold lurking and if you have sleep apnoea that will be exhausting. Give yourself a break (without feeling guilty!) and replenish your energy stores. As someone suggests make a plan to return to the Spark chores - that way you can relax without fretting about Sparking for the moment. In other words - take care of yourself for a few days - AND enjoy it.

Do take some rest... Maybe it helps if you consciously PLAN to take 2 or 3 days off (or however many days you feel you need to rest) and also PLAN to get back to exercising on day 4? That way you're not 'letting go' but simply changing your plan...
    get well soon!

Yesterday I was reading an essay by a woman who does a lot of volunteer work in hospices, with terminally ill people. She said one of the things she's learned from them is to take time out: for many of them, they slow down and savor the world around them, no matter how 'small' that world may have become. There is little sense of 'must' or 'should' or 'ought.' Instead of hurrying frantically to live up to this or that obligation, instead of feeling pressured to accomplish, they simply... soak it up, observing and enjoying.

She said that she has stopped feeling guilty about taking time out now and then, not to use that as an excuse to do nothing, but rather as a small recharge of the batteries,

So Meddy, if you choose not to do your 'Spark chores' today, and read a book instead, and rest and relax and enjoy your day, why, maybe you're just recharging your batteries. Thinks me...
