Thrilled to be "Overweight"

Friday, August 24, 2012

Lately I have too many blogs and journals going on. I have a paper one, I have a sparkpeople one, I have facebook and I have my medifast one. So, I'm all spread out, writing some stuff in one, and other stuff in another. It's a bit too much. So, my whole story is not in one particular place, it's all spread out, but I guess as long as I'm committed to getting it out somewhere it's ok for now. I'm still in the phase where the weight loss is not easy (I remember at one point in a previous journey it was happening pretty second nature for me) and I need as many skills being used as possible to reinforce work I'm doing. So far so good. The journaling helps keep me focused and moving forward, and also keeps me from having my hand in the snack bowl. . . just an added bonus.

So, yesterday was weigh day. As I updated my little weight tracker, I saw a BMI converter too, so I plugged in my numbers and I am so excited to announce, that I went from being Obese to Overweight over this last week! Yay!! Ok, so I know a lot of people would NEVER get the excitement in being overweight. . . but anyone who is reading THIS journal would. I am quite proud to have accomplished this goal. So I am one category away now from being in the normal BMI range. One big step from hitting my goal. One category over to the left of the chart and my body can breathe a sigh of relief and can function at it's best. I can see it happening! I'm on my way and so excited!

Great job! I totally understand why you are excited and proud to be 'overweight'. It is quite an accomplishment to go from one category to another. Keep up the good work and you will be in the 'normal' category in no time.
