I just love starting things fresh on Mondays. It's like the slate is clean again. I have decided not to do anymore crash dieting. Hopefully that will stop the binges that follow because I just can't handle the restriction anymore. I have to lose the all or nothing mentality as well as find balance in all things. I guess I've never been ok with gray. It's either black or white - there's nothing in between. This thinking cannot apply to lifestyle when it comes to diet/food/exercise. You can't make a lifestyle change and say that you'll never eat ____ again. Especially when it's something you love. With that said, I need to be realistic and just make better decisions on a daily basis. This isn't a race, there's isn't a competition, and there is no deadline. I also need to stop letting the scale determine my success. As I continue to incorporate healthy habits, I should yield the results I'm seeking. This time around, I'm going to enjoy the journey to good health. Healthy eating isn't a punishment for being fat, it's a reward for being alive.
