maintenance week, family & movie time week in review...

So another week in the land of the "elusive" 5%. How are things? They're good. I'm maintaining and actually preparing for another 5lb loss. I'm not happy with the higher end of my range. I start to hear a lot of negative self talk there and while a little bit may be healthy too much is well just that. I think if I drop to 130 my normal up and down swings wont bother me as much.
Ill let you in on a nasty secret... once you reach your goal you on a high for days or weeks even beaming with pride and confidence but then you start to come down and insecurity creeps back in. it may be a whole new worry but the base is the same your not happy with you and if you really want that "high" to stick around you better figure out how to accomplish that goal.
So my new emotional goal.. make five new friends this month and feed the friendship that deserve the time! Smile at 4 New people a day. Because its ok that I want a "BFF" at 33 friendships are healthy but they take work to cultivate.
Other than that how are things? Well I had a far to long self argument over if it was ok for me to be buying new pajamas a size to big. of all the silly things.

Family fun day review... awesome!! I gave the kiddo choice of a hike or swimming. He choose swimming. We went to our gyms family open plunge and had a great time!! I can't believe I haven't taken him more this summer.

Movie time!! Home made air popped popcorn ( 1/3 of a cup in a paper bag in the microwave for 3min perfect!! ) seasoned with paprika, salt, garlic and mist of olive oil to help it all stick yummy!!! Stone IPA to go with it WOW!! So good. Ok ok the movie... The LORAX. Loved it! Personal confession.. I'm a very very odd bread...I'm an environmentalist, Lliberal, rig wife.. yep my husband works for big bad oil and I dont think the're so bad maybe to big but that's a whole other matter.
Anyways being that girl I loved the movie. I loved the nod to the TED talks I loved the message I love the nostalgia. cute & sweet! I'd give it 4stars, Horton hears a who was better but I did still enjoyed this Dr Suss classic!

Hope everyone had a wonderful week & I hope the next is just as good if not better!!
its a beautiful day (yes I have a thing for U2)

Congrats on still being part of the 5% club. I wrote a blog about a week ago that as I'm on the journey one of the things that is helping me, is believing that I've already gotten to my goal weigh and i'm just maintaining - and why would you want to blow that?!? after all the work it took to get there....so maybe I'm doing a really good thing practicing maintenance before I need to.

I think your idea of setting the goal to smile at people is excellent. Did you know smiling actually makes you see things in a more positive light, increases your immunity and increases others perception that you are successful - so smile on.

Can't wait to join your club for real - keep up the great success and did you know there is a team for people that have made it??/

Smile on! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
