I am 2 month's into my weightloss journey and things are getting easier with each passing day. I feel better, my clothes fit better, I think I look better and I am happy to see I am inching ever closer to the 10 lb mark. I was not sure that I could stick with this when I first signed up but I was determined that I needed to try hard to take back the control over my weight and stop it from inching upward.
I have found many new and delicious recipe's thru sparkpeople and looking at some of my old cookbooks that I have bought over the years with weightloss in mind. Until you start recording everything you eat and see the actual calories in all that goes into your mouth, it is easy to see why obesity is on the rise. Everytime I see the commercials for the fastfood restaurant, I think, wow, how many calories is in that large fry and large big mac. Where once I would not have thought twice about eating that, I think oh my, I would be way over my calorie allowance for the day, not to mention my arteries screaming for mercy!
I love sparkpeople and the great people that are encouraging one another and the spark coaches that help teach and make it easier to be able to lose weight once YOU set your mind to it. It does take determination and a strong mindset to get on the right track. Every day is a victory if you are watcing what you eat and exercising, and if you mess up one day, hop back on the cardio the next day and keep on going. Life is a journey and every minute should be appreciated. Be thankful for every day you have, you never know what tomorrow will bring!
