Living alone and loving it - goal being rational with breaking a plateau

So the five day plateau ended this morning with another pound lost. Starting to feel like a roll to me and that all things could be possible. My complete dream weight is 100 lbs away, my short term goal - being 220 by August 13 is three pounds away.

I'll be honest, one of my first reactions in the past to getting to a great success point was wanting to celebrate with the few foods that I always will love cream cheese danishs and berry pie. But not this time, I really, truly want to make this small goal. Stay the course, keep doing the same thing, forward pushing, don't let up!

Then there is over achiever girl that is yelling - stop eating you can get there by the end of the week. I've also learned from the past that that is a path to sure failure that ends in a midnight binge of never ending hunger. I need to stay the course, keep doing the same thing, pushing on without letting up.

Yet I knew both of these part of me had to be satisfied on a day like today. The eat more voice by the end of the day would obsess and this is one day that I would need to fill full all day. I knew I could let the achiever girl in myself be happy by delaying some of my calories into the afternoon - so I could end the day feeling very full.

The way to survive was to 1) keep protein going spread through the whole day 2) eat a blast of fiber towards the end of the day and 3) eat BIG. I see so many people logging tiny bits of high calorie food and setting themselves up to be starved at the end of the day. I see this because I use to do it.

What do I mean by eat big? Making a huge PLATTER of food that is low calorie, high protein, high fiber and full of nutrition.


Note the teapot in the background to gauge how much food this was for 250 kcal, 30 grams of protein, 11 grams of fiber . . . this last part translates to feeling full full full. The other bonus is the mushroom are full of Vitamin D and the Kale full of calcium - which will lead to feeling full and building strong bones.

For good measure, I've have two Fiber One bars in the late snack area so there is not way I feel like craving anything. Day's end total calories 1,276 and other than fat I've balanced perfectly for the day.

Since October's high I'm at a total 28 pounds off. (I know my counter doesn't reflect that much, but I work much better on smaller goal lines). More that 1/5 the way there and 11% of me gone. Don't worry that was the bratty part!
