Sorry sparkers I know its been a while since I updated. I've been busy with spending time with my parents and packing for holidays. John and I are going to Manitoba for 11 days tomorrow. We will be going to Flin Flon 6 days to visit Johns Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Then we will be going to visit my brother and his GF in Thompson. I’am a bit stressed about going on holidays in regards to eating and exercise. John’s Grandma is an amazing cook but a lot of her food has a high fat content. Lots of carbs, margarine, salt and meat. She makes amazing perogies, cabbage rolls, Kraut Buns, and desserts. So the food that I will be eating for 6 days wont be like how I eat at home. Portion control is going to have to be my savior. I’m going to control my portions by eating from a smaller plate and tracking everything. I also told John that we need to exercise every day while we are there. This wont be a problem because we will have lots of free time and Flin Flon is full of rocks, hills and lakes. When we go to Thompson it’s going to be the exact opposite. My brother is very healthy and eats a lot of veggies and fruits. but getting out and getting any form of exercise will be a problem. Thompson isn’t a place you go walking around in for leisure. There is a lot of crime and violence. We may take a day and go canoeing and fishing so that will help a little. I’m really excited to get out of town for 11 days. I’ve been so preoccupied with cleaning the house, worrying about my mom, worrying about selling our house etc etc. I need to see some friendly faces and get some hugs.
