Slice it and Dice it and Splice It

I am going to engage in the one act that really annoys me when I know my students are doing it: Plagiarize. Sample. Cut and Paste. Slice and Dice. Splice and Redact.

I am going to copy some of the inspirational things I've read around Spark People: I will tell you why: I am getting so old and my memory is not what it was. I fumble for the answers on Jeopardy! I know the answer, it just takes me a while to sort through my compendious filing cabinet. I read a wonderful blog here or a wonderful comment that somebody makes. And I want to remember it badly. So I will use this blog entry as an "aide memoire" (if I have the French correctly).

*I* Will TRACK my exercise DAILY (not in one lump like I have been) Goal is 10,000+ steps per day
*I* Will Eliminate after Dinner snacking
*I* Will remember this quote when I THINK I want that chocolate/ice cream/cookie :

If you start today and modify what you're doing then you've started to successfully become fitter, stronger and healthier...

It really is that simple. If you can only move for 1 minute and you choose to increase your exercise by another minute tomorrow and then exercise for 2 minutes every day this week you will be really successful...

Add one minute per week and in less than a year you will be exercising / moving and modifying for an hour every day...

If you can choose to exercise for an hour a day then you will be a different body shape than today. And you will fitter, stronger, healthier, more confident and happier...

Of that I can promise...
