exercise- you can do it!

I was only going to do 30 mins on the elliptical but when 30 mins came, I talked myself into another 15 and when I completed that, I told myself I could do another 15 mins and I DID!! It feels so good stretching out after such a great workout! It is definitely true that the worst part is starting, once you start, you can talk yourself into anything and keep on pushing yourself!

    What a great day for a walk! 70 mins and 3.5 miles. I had to bring the dog home after 50 mins and continued on for the last 20 by myself. I am so thankful to be able to go for long walks. I saw a banner for a 5K walk run at the end of the month and I am seriously thinking of joining and walking! emoticon

    You are absolutely right about it being okay to go further if you can. I add 5 minutes at a times, but I am just starting out again and my nerves do not like being pinched up and after a long workout I feel like someone is cutting me in half.

    BUT, getting off my booty and getting in the weight room is half of my battle. I don't have to leave the house to go to the gym beacuse I was a weight trainer when I was younger. Then I got sick for several years and all that muscle turned to fat.

    I'm doing it the right way this time and will stick to the lifestyle as long as my joints and bones will allow.
