You win, Mother Nature

I stand before you, head bowed, to confess to ego, logic, and willfulness. Got a little shortness of breath, loss of energy, some coughing, I said to myself, fahgedaboutit.
OK, ok, I tell the nagging voice it my head, which sounds an awful lot like my daughter (Oh, wait. It is her. On the phone) I'll see the doctor tomorrow; well tomorrow has come. The doctor got me up off the floor where I was napping, so she could look me in the eye with the verdict: pneumonia!
Do I look like Nanook? Those freaky germs are hiding here in June in South Texas? Don't they hibernate for the summer or something?
A week of sleeping partially weakened that attack by the germs but I still have a little way to go to be back to normal. You may not like it, but its normal for me.
I haven't participated in anything lately, and still not at full steam, but I'm the little train and still steamin' along. Just sayin'. I miss you all. Virtual and real life.
