Wedding Dress Shopping

Thursday, June 28, 2012

I am starting to get really excited about my wedding so I thought that I would share the fun part of planning!! Dress shopping!!

Yesterday my mom and I went dress shopping! Normally I HATE HATE HATE trying clothes on (I normally buy them, and if they don't fit, I take them back) but I absolutely loved this experience. The first store we went to I found the exact type of dress that looks awesome on me. And, it give me a shape, which is something that I didn't know that I had. There were a few dresses that my mom had me try on that are most definitely not me (super girly) and the one that she ABSOLUTELY LOVED I HATED!! I found one dress there that I absolutely loved but I thought that I should look at other places.

So, after that we "crashed" the David's Bridal in our area. At first they were pretty irritated that we didn't have an appt, but all I wanted to do was look around. As luck would have it, one of their appts didn't show up so we took that one. And, as luck would have it again, it was with the one girl there that I love (I have been in numerous weddings lately). I found a dress there that I absolutely love. My mom had me try on stuff that wasn't me (again) but the one I loved there was simple with a little bit of "bling" as we are calling it.

Now, I'm torn. I have found 2 dresses that I love. This weekend my mom and I are going back out to try both those dresses again and I invited my soon to be mother-in-law to go. My mom wants me to go to other stores b/c I wasn't like I LOVE THIS DRESS! I loved both the dresses. I wish that I could wear them both!!! HAHAHAHA!! I'm not one to yell out I love this dress. I can see myself in both of them and I think that I look gorgeous in both. ARGHHHH, decisions decisions =)

Ok, sorry I was wordy today but I am/was so pumped by the experience!

In other news, I am one day 6 of working out. I am doing the Jumpstart Bootcamp and have made sure that I have done the videos and the cardio that goes along with it. I started it before my surgery but had to restart it since my surgery kicked my butt and I didn't realize that I would be out of commission for so long! Today I went on a walk for about an hour. At 10 this morning it was miserably hot but I did it and walked to the lake. I didn't want to go but I feel so much better that I did!!

I have heard that routines don't start until you have been doing it for 21 days. I have 2 more weeks to go to make this a routine (again)!!

Two dresses that you love? That's great!! Take some time and go try on both of them again and see if you still love them. I'm guessing that you'll find one of them a little better than the other and it will make the decision easier.

And YAY on the six days in a row of working out!

Congrats on having such luck! Though, if you ever watch a show like Yes To The Dress, they say once you find a dress you love that fits you well you need to stop looking. Otherwise you could find many dresses you love and can't choose between any of them. Plus after awhile they jumble in your head which makes it impossible to choose.

Others will always have different opinions from your own, but this is YOUR wedding so the choice is yours. Find what makes you feel beautiful and walk like you're all that. Then you'll know you've got a great dress.

emoticon So excited for you on your dress shopping. Glad you found something you love, even if you won't say LOVE...
I am hesitant abut a MIL to be along. But it may work. They can be opinionated. Except for me when I am the MIL, I am always sweet...ha, ha, ha.

Make sure you only try to please you on wedding plans, and fiancee a little. If you try to please all, you'll twist yourself into knots.

    Enjoy emoticon
