So today I managed to skip lunch again, not intentionally, i just got busy and didn't realize the time. So after supper I was really short on calories. LATE LUNCH!!! I made a tomato, cucumber and cheese sandwich on a hamburger bun with a bit of miracle whip it was so yummy. I also had a mango, I had forgotten how good they are.
Tried Greek yogurt for the first time today. I had gotten the regular kind and my daughter warned me that I may find it a little too much and suggested I try adding a little honey to it. The honey helped so did the cup of frozen fruit i put in it. I think next time I may actually get the vanilla kind as she tells me it is much better. Definitely the right person to ask about it as she was giving me a run down on all the different brands and which were better tasting. She suggested I might like to try granola with it too, and I probably will as I like it on the fruit and yogurt that you get from some of the fast food places.
I was reading about what some of the fast food places make their burgers and chicken nuggets out of and it totally grossed me out. I have absolutely no desire to eat at any of them now. I'm going to be a lot choosier about where we eat when we eat out from now on. Meat protein which is pink and slimy? Chicken nuggets that look like pink foam before they put the coating on it?
I do have a recommendation though. We went to Montana's Steak house a couple weeks ago and I had the chicken fajitas and they were great. I suggest you order it as a meal for two and then maybe you could share a dessert too and be totally full. They send out enough taco shells for four fajitas but there was easily enough meat and filling there for six. I ate two, and took the rest home. I had another fajita later that evening and made a fajita salad with the rest the next day.
