THANK GOODNESS, I FINISHED THAT BAG OF CHIPS FROM YESTERDAY. I AM SO DISGUSTED WITH MYSELF. emoticon

I STILL CANNOT KEEP THEM IN THE HOUSE, CANDIES DO NOT BOTHER ME. DIFFERENT STORY FOR CHIPS AND PEANUTS. USUALLY, I DON'T BOTHER TO BUY THEM AND I DON'T MISS THEM. BUT BECAUSE I WAS UPSET WITH MY SCALE, I BOUGHT A BIG BAG OF CHIPS. I AM SURE ITS GONNA HELP...N-O-T

I AM STILL IN MY CALORIES, I CUT MY DINNER IN HALF SO I CAN HAVE THOSE GREASY CHIPS. I WILL HAVE MY OTHER, VERY HEALTHY, HALF AT LUNCH TOMORROW.

I CANT LOSE MY FOCUS, THE SUMMER CHALLENGE BEGINS SATURDAY AND I WANT TO LOSE 10 POUNDS.

OK ILL GET OVER IT, I WILL DO WHAT I TELL THE OTHERS...TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY. I SHOULD BE OK FOR A WHILE, I GOT MY FIX.

VERY SAD, I THOUGHT I HAD MORE CONTROL.

LISE emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
I SHOULD PUNISH MYSELF WITH THIS emoticon...LOL

Great save! I can appreciate how those trigger foods can change our day. I have to be careful about buying dates in bulk, as well as those new Special K chips (like potato chips) -- I agree, they're hard to stop once you start (and Sam's Club now offers a box of 16 110-calorie serving bags.

We all have to try experiments. You could go out and enjoy life with a big walk or go visit a friend. Smile and know that you are loved. Don't give those potato chips any power over your life. They aren't important they're just chips. But you are important and deserve to celebrate life.

    Love,

    Don't give up!
Just try not to bring them in the house next time! It's easier to say no in the store then when they're calling your name from the kitchen.
That is why I don't buy ice cream anymore! emoticon

I guess we all do something like that once in a while. One of my weaknesses is potato chips! I love them! What is up with that? You will get back on track and rock this challenge!! You can do this!!!

When you get upset with your scale, take out the battery if it uses power or turn it face down in a dark corner, or cover it with a towel. It will understand it is getting a time-out and will do better.

emoticon Hey sweet Lise~ You must be my twin. I swear I went through the same thing on Monday~ had a meltdown carb binge and still disgusted with myself tho' I am getting back on track. There's something about a binge that just takes it out of me emotionally~ it's like no matter how long I've stayed the course in healthy eating, there is something about a binge that is just totally demoralizing.

Let's focus on today on what we CAN DO NOW! *hugs* BB~ emoticon emoticon

YOU GAVE YOURSELF AN INDULGE THAT YOUR WERE CRAVING SO LIKE YOU SAID YOURSELF THAT'S DONE WITH AND NOW IT'S TIME TO GEAR UP FOR THE 5% CHALLENGE THAT STARTS TOMORROW. WE ALL HAVE SLIP UPS FROM TIME TO TIME. I DO LOVE SALTY ESPECIALLY PEANUTS WHICH I DON'T DARE BUY. BUT, IT'S THE SWEETS THAT MY SONS LIKE AROUND THE HOUSE. I ACTUALLY HAVE THEM HIDE THEM FROM ME AS I DON'T ALWAYS TRUST MYSELF OR MY WILLPOWER ENOUGH TO SEE THEM THERE AND NOT EAT THEM. I WON'T BE SURPRISED IF YOU LOSE 10# OR MORE IN YOUR UPCOMING CHALLENGE. HAVE A GREAT START TO YOUR WEEKEND!

    LOVE,

    JILL

I think you did great! My problem used to be that a slip ended up in a fall that lasted for months. It doesn't look like that happened to you. I wonder if you feel that giving up half your dinner was worth the few licks of salt on your lips? But you made a great recover. Congratulations! emoticon

It's all good Lise. Ch#t happens! You just pick yourself up, dust yourself off and carry on regardless. It's hard, but with the right attitude, which YOU have, the damage will be undone in seconds. You just got to work it off, and you ARE doing that!!! Proud of you!!! YOU rock!!!

Now me, it's a sweet tooth thing. Biscuits and Rusks are poison to me. I HAVE to master it, and I will!!! The best is NOT to have it anywhere near you, until it's a thing of the past. I still believe NEVER to have it in the house, unless you are expecting guests in the best.

    Have and awesome Friday.

Hi Lise! Please don't beat yourself up over this. We all slip up from time to time, even if we try little tricks like not keeping our trigger foods at home. What's done is done. Just get back on track now and move forward. Just go back to your healthy habits and you'll be all set!

I always thought I had a terrible sweet tooth but I've found it's the salt I crave too. So after I break a sweat exercising I just lick my lips and emoticon salty-girl emoticon

Lise, did you read my last Blog?? I am the potato junkie---I said I would stand on the corner to get enought money for my fix. Now, come on, are you that bad? Don't beat yourself up--you stayed within your points and you are very aware of what you did--you'll be fine! When you feel like punishing yourself, would you please have someone take pictures? Man, I would love to see you get out of that position lol Your focus will come back. I can still have chips in the house, but now I get the baked ones. I take out one ounce and put the rest away. Since I came out of the closet, I feel better about my addiction and can handle it a little better. We all have faith in you! Love you! Noel

I GET MAD AT HIM, LOL BUT IN SOME WAYS I AM HAPPY. SO SHALL I SEND HIM YOUR WAY. ((JUST TO EAT THE CHIPS, LOL))

HUGS, GAIL NOW GET IT OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM AND GET WITH TTHE CHALLENGE THAT STARTS SATURDAY!

I totally understand. There are still foods that I cannot leave alone and sometimes if I am feeling down I can overeat on something that is not that bad, but I still overdo it. We are a work in progress and I'm sure you probably didn't eat as many as you would have before. Tomorrow is a new day!

I completely understand that feeling about the scale. I think its not the chips, but how you recover from them that makes the biggest difference. You'll be very pleased and proud of yourslf for refocusing and doing good things for yourself. You can do it, Lise, I believe in you!

Lise, do not be upset about it - we are only human after all. Mind you, for the next two months you'll be a dawg so that solves that...lol
When my humanness takes over and I cave to temptation, to keep from feeling guilty and to stop the downslide, I tell myself I did it just this once for charty. Can't be too charitable, though...lol
So chalk the chips up to charity and move forward ho! You are going to knock this challenge out of the park - woo hoo!!! emoticon emoticon

Yep...can't have them in my house either, but you know that already. I guarentee that if you do this emoticon or this emoticon you will never eat chips again because you will never be able to get up off the floor to get them to eat!! LOL!! Happens to all of us and sometimes I think I have to do it to see if I'm still gonna eat every one of them in sight of if I somehow grew will power when it comes to chips! Tomorrow will be a great one, Lise! Love, Jeannie

Esilbo - Hey don't beat yourself up- consider this a lesson learned. I am with you - I want the salty snacks, chips, nuts - yum. Honestly, I've met FEW chips I haven't loved! LOL! I have officially taken myself off chips & salty treats since March & I've certainly been tempted.

I think for me it's more than about the crunch than anything else. AND in the past when I've fallen off the wagon, I've found that IF I get myself up of my lazy hind end & declare war on chips, I'm good to go.

Good luck - YOU can do this!!! Keep focused on your prize!!!
