Day 4, feel like i am falling behind

I have been doing very little exercise, need more motivation but not sure were to get it from. Doing pretty well with food intake. Emotionally a wreck. My Size 0 sister told me this online thing would never work, then proceeded to tell me i was not only fat, but lazy too. I want to prove her wrong on both counts! I do believe that being accountable for my execise and food intake will be helpful, but most helpful are the comments of others, knowing they struggle but keep going toward their goal. The success stories make me believe that this supportive site can work for me in my endeavor to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Thank you to all who post their sussesses and struggles. Knowing I am not alone in the battle of the bulge is such a great help!

    Don't listen to your sister! Use that as your starting and daily motivation! The greatest motivation comes from yourself. Yes you can read motivating posts by others, but it is only you that can make the commitment and the choices that are required to help you lose the weight. Check out my "No Time? Think Again" blog for some QUICK 5 minute workouts! Start there if you can't do more. The more you exercise, the more calories you'll burn. I started with the Spark 10 Minute A Day Exercise Challenge. It was finite - only a month. I figured I could do anything for 30 days, and I did. It gave me a real sense of accomplishment when I was done, plus I got a trophy to exhibit on my page.

    The greatest motivation comes from yourself. That is where I found mine. I kept hitting my head on the proverbial wall and one day I stopped hitting and started my climb over it. There were several factors that led to my finally doing whatever it takes to not only lose weight but be healthier for the rest of my life.

    I finally met the man I had been waiting for my whole life and we desperately want to have a big family but right now it it not physically possible to have a healthy pregnancy and birth. Also my mom struggles with several health issues that her weight makes worse or actual issues created cause of her weight and I love my mom dearly but I do not want to end up like that.

    I think that losing weight is just like trying to quit smoking or things of that sort people say they have "tried" to but they just can't well that's cause they haven't hit that point that line in the sand that everyone has to cross to get mentally ready for the changes that will come. It is not easy and I have not had an easy time adjusting to the diet and exercise but I feel better knowing that I am strong enough mentally to push through the doubts and then when you see pounds dropping on the scale that is just new motivation every week to keep going cause it's working.

    You can do anything you set your mind to, you just have to want it and want it bad enough to change!

    You know you want change when the pain of changing is less than the pain of staying the same.
