I want to look like this. I don't. But I will. And I have paid my dues to build my body's strength, my self control and eliminated the emotional triggers that addict me to sugar and caffeine temptations.
It has taken months. The soul searching has paved the way for great success. Now, I am ready for the breakthrough!
Slowly, I have gained more minutes I am comfortable with on the gym equipment. Five minutes incresed to eight to ten. I learned to do intervals of higher intensity and take short resting breaks for maximum potential. I have memorized my circuit and smoothly complete it, without dread. And the beat goes on...music in my ears, smile on my face.
I have taken the time to develop my own frozen low cal dinners to make ahead. I've tried various snacks to find what satisfies and stays with me, before and after my activities. And I've become aware of my weakneses. This will benefit me for the rest of my life and are patterns others can see possible for themselves.
Tracking is an eye opener for sure. Not only my food intake, but the daily excuses that sabotage exercise.
Armed and motivated, I'm focusing on maximum results now to see the finish line, the definition shown by the tape measure and the confidence I am at my best.
Seniors can learn new tricks. Destiny, here I come!
