BLC 19: Final 7 weeks

I had a rocky start at the beginning of the BLC because I was in Italy and had very limited online access. I also had to eat out a lot. Fortunately, I did not gain any significant weight (we were walking around all day long). But I returned to about ten days primarily in bed. So I have only been back to “normal” (whatever that is) for about two weeks. During this time, I’ve been well. The BLC team to which I belong, The Shamrock Sheriffs, is a great one and it’s motivated me a lot. I was, initially, shocked to be placed on the team. I had not listed it as one of my top choices: I was going for shades of blue instead of green. I want to be on a BLUE team! It’s always been my favorite color! I look best in blue clothes. Yadda yadda yadda. I don’t want to be a sheriff. I’m not a law-enforcement type. But I was thinking too literally. The women on the team are wonderful and the leadership has really helped me to stay on track.

My specific goal for the end of week 12 is to register a 195 on the scale. Even if I am at 199 I will have done a fine job. And if I continue to lose even at a very modest rate, I will be there.

My biggest action plan is to avoid eating in the evening. I know that the time of day does not matter when it comes to metabolizing food, but the emotional/mental side-effect of eating after about 9 PM is devastating. I just cannot stop. I have read all kinds of theories about that so I know that the phenomenon is not limited to me.

My plan for this week:
Get a new scale (the old one is a bit creaky and has stopped working as of this morning)
Go to the gym at least 5 times
Walk outdoors if the weather is below 85
Keep carrots as my go-to resort if I must eat between meals
Check my blood sugar at least 4 times a day
Make sure I am in bed by midnight each night.

If I continue these above actions for each following week, I should do well.

If the Queen can do it for 60 years, I can do it for 7 weeks!

Sounds like a great plan, and like you will be able to make those goals. Good luck!
