May Retrospective/June Goals

Last day of May already -- hard to believe. So, time to review progress against May's goals, and set some for June.

Goals I set in May, and progress towards them:

By May 31st I will:

Be able to run 30 minutes continuously - emoticon
Be able to run 5K - emoticon -- didn't do this, but will reset for June.
Have reached $250 raised for the Relay to End Kids Cancer - emoticon I almost feel as though I cheated here since I made this based on one $100 donation, but met is met I suppose.
Have logged more than 1510 fitness minutes emoticon A few gardening sessions and the start of volleyball this month helped out here since I really didn't run as much as usual.
Have lost 6.5 pounds emoticon -- I think I lost 1 pound this month. I did lose a couple of inches in my waist and belly though. Not surprised about the lack of significant weight loss, since I didn't eat well this month.
Continue to drink 8 cups or more of water each day emoticon -- slipped on the water pretty significantly especially in the last week or so.
Continue to limit diet coke to 2 cans or less each day emoticon -- there were a few days when I had more than my 2 can limit.

To help me with motivation, I will:

Log into Sparkpeople every day emoticon -- I'm actually pretty upset about this because I only missed one day when I was travelling for work and was so busy I forgot to log in!
Track my food every day emoticon -- I didn't do horribly here, but kind of gave up on this in the last few days.
Blog at least once a week emoticon
Read the blog posts of my Sparkfriends emoticon


BOGUSANNIE gave us a Gloaty Pants Report challenge, so I'll save the things that went well report for that.

May was a really tough month for me personally and motivation wise. I'm still trying to find a way to be consistent about my eating habits. Exercise I'm fairly good with -- I seem to have settled into a routine there.

So, as far as June goes, by the end of June I will:

Be able to run 5K
Have reached $500 raised for the Relay to End Kids Cancer
Have logged more than 1510 fitness minutes
Have lost 6.5 pounds
Continue to drink 8 cups or more of water each day
Continue to limit diet coke to 2 cans or less each day

To help me with motivation, I will:

Log into Sparkpeople every day
Track my food every day
Create and complete a weekly motivational challenge for myself
Blog at least once a week
Read the blog posts of my Sparkfriends

    I think you had a pretty good May!
    you improved on so many things and if you were to look at where you were on May first, you no doubt would have to admit to progress!!
