How do you say NO to that Craving? Share the strategies and techniques you use to overcome cravings.
Cravings..what terrible thing. Tbh I am still learning how to do this one. It's my weakness. But I will tell you what I have learned so far.
If I am at work and people bring goodies in for whatever the occasion may be. I have a rule where I wont try or have any of the item until it is literally almost gone and then I just have a taste of it. Reason being that once you try something that is delicious our bodies want more, when by the time i walk by again the item is gone and I can't tempt myself with it any more. It's easier to say no when you haven't tasted it yet :-)
I also have been working on eating opposites. Example if my body is craving something sweet I will grab something sour, like a pickle. I personally can't crave the sweet thing as much after eating something like a pickle.
I don't have that many secrets because like I said it is the one thing that I am still learning. My weakness is ice cream flurries/blizzards . Usually when I get it in my head that I want one, i can't get it out of my head. So if someone has a secret for that please let me know :-P
