No Cake!!

I did it! After 3 weeks of no sugar I actually said no to one of my favorite cakes: Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate!!!! I am so proud of myself! I have also made a decision. I have craved a donut for an entire month. I have not gotten one, but I can tell I'm at the point that I may start binging. So I have made a deal with myself. If I can lose 2-3 lbs by June 4th then I will let myself have a donut. For 2 reasons! One I will have gotten over my plateau and two I will not have given into my craving of a donut. Yes I know I will be rewarding myself with a donut, but I figure it is better then binging. Which I'm about to because I've craved a donut for so long!

    Good luck with that. Whenever I reward myself with sugar, I get cocky, think I have it under control and I'm binging before I know it. Hope you do better.

    An important part of losing weight is to NOT diet ... at least in the "traditional sense". Yes, you need to eat fewer calories, but that doesn't mean going without things you enjoy eating, or eating plenty of food. I understand you on donuts. I like them a lot. Every time I crave one I look at that nutrition label at the grocery store, see that 200-300 calories per, and put the box right back down! LOL

    Our sweet cravings are now satisfied by things like grapes, grape tomatoes, pineapple with a little cottage cheese, or a banana split with only a couple of ounces of ice cream on it.

    We add a LOT more vegetables to our dinners, along with more chicken or fish than we used to include. We eat plenty of food, but with more efficient calories than we used to. I cut out things like sweetened soft drinks and pizza. But we made sure to find substitute foods that taste great so we still very much enjoy eating, and that we can eat plenty of so we are full after a meal.

    Trust me, that is the E-A-S-Y way to lose weight!

    SoundS like your using your head. If you feel you've earned a doughnut then just plan for it. Enjoy!
