I am not an expert on fitness, BUT I have to admit the energy kids have, they have to burn a lot of calories...So, why join in the fun...
Mother's Day weekend was the best, although I am far away from my mother, I have great friends who are willing to share their moms with me on Mother's Day. Twice the love...
Also, I attended the BEST 1st Birthday Party of all time! My best friend held their daughter's 1st Birthday Party, with all the bells and whistles included. The party really started Friday, I skip out on work and hung out at his house to help with the kids while he complete last minute party arrangements.
First thing to show up, the inflatable bouncer. This thing was HUGE, he spared no expense on finding the largest one available. Of course, "Uncle" James had to test it out! WORKOUT #1! I worked up a major sweat bouncing around for an hour with a 3 and 4 year old.
Second thing to come out, Electronic Basketball Shooting Game, yes the ones you see in the arcades where you shot the mini basket balls as many times as you can. Of course, "uncle" James needs to test it out! Yes, two grown men was battling it out in the drive way of the house with this game. WORKOUT #2! The 3 and 4 year old was too small to play it, but gave it a good try at it.
Day of the party, KIDS EVERYWHERE! There was food, friends, and Family! AND more toys. We adults decided to play "Keep Away" with the frisbee with the kids. WORKOUT #3!
Where do kids get the energy, when did I every have energy like that as a kid AND where did it go as I got older?
So, eating and exercising was NO PROBLEM for me this weekend!
ALSO, I still did my 5k Training Program between the other activities. :-)
