being full & losing weight

Dieting has always been hard for me, on my own. I tried to keep myself from eating, only to be starving & eat whatever I could put my hands on. I am finally learning that I can fill up every few hours on vegetables. It stops the hunger pangs & keeps me motivated. I am also learning to force myself to think on things other than food instead of sugar laden & fattening foods.
Over the past week, whenever I find myself craving foods, I fill up on vegetables & divert my activity onto family, sparkpeople, television or books and it is working.
Now to stay focused!
