I'm a Marathon Runner

Wednesday, May 09, 2012

I should feel more exited about having completing what many people can't even imagine, but I'm not. Why? Well because not only did I not loose a single pound, I gained two! This calls for a new plan a new vision. I want to keep running but I don't want to be the lady who gets passed by walkers on the race. I want to be fitter but I WANT TO LOOK FITTER TOO! so what now?

Often times during marathon training, it's extremely difficult to lose the weight you need to lose. Your body needs the fuel to go the distance, so weight loss is hard. Now that your marathon is over -- which is a GREAT achievement (woo hoo!) -- work on faster, shorter workouts. Concentrate on 5K speeds. It will jump start you to get those faster runs in more often.

The weight will start to come off with the shorter, faster runs. You'll be pleased with the results.
