Today is a good day. I am getting back on track with my diet. I will also be going through the kitchen and pantry to get ready for our whole foods diet. In about a week we will be going shopping to refill our kitchen and pantry with super healthy foods. This week will be spent finding good recipes and learning how to shop the healthy way.
It's amazing but I had no idea how much crap I actually ate until I started thinking of this whole foods plant based diet. Of course the meat is not healthy but even the dressings we use, the box foods, the cereals (that are given out by suposedly healthy WIC) and even our barbeque sauces and ketchup. It is amazing how unhealthy all these foods are and how much they consume our kitchens!
I'm excited, yet apprehensive. It will be quite expensive until we are able to grow our own vegetables. It will be a good change though and if I wasn't getting my food stamps on the 8th I would definitely be on this diet already!
