Getting Ready!

My family and I are getting ready to go on the whole foods plant based diet. It is a little stressful when thinking of all the food that we won't be eating and giving up fast food. It isn't like we ate a lot of fast food, but it was a treat when we did. On the other hand I am extremely excited! It's exciting to think that in a few weeks I may feel energetic, be able to sleep better, and be able to go through a day without needing to take a nap. It will also be exciting to be learning a new way of cooking with my husband. You see at this point he cooks for us and with this new diet we will be learning how to cook all the new foods together. I am kind of apprehensive about the meat substitutes. I don't like tofu, but I will have to get used to it. Tempeh sounds kind of interesting, and seitan sounds different. I know that we will succeed in this diet. (Though diet is used loosely because it is more of a complete change of eating then just a diet to loose weight.) If we have as much success as everyone else we've heard about then we will definitely eat this way for the rest of our lives!

MY Goals to eating this way:
1. Sleep better
2. More energy
3. Not feel exhausted after work
4. Better cholesterol
5. Having workouts become easier
6. Feeling good about myself and my family

MY Goals for my husband:
1. Sleep through the night
2. More energy
3. Feeling healthy
4. Lower cholesterol
5. Feeling so good that he wants to work out
6. Feeling good about himself and our family
