'Running' endurance is definitely helpful for running the warrior dash, but it is much more like hiking than running - I would recommend going on the elliptical with the highest incline and highest resistance you can stand and that will mimic the warrior dash more so than running.
But run on for sure because the longer you can go without getting out of breath the better!
