29 days no blog! Oh My!!!

emoticonHello there!!!
My apologies if you thought I was neglecting you. I have managed to log in to SP every day and to spin the wheel to keep my streak alive. And in the last ten days I have managed to be active enough to participate in Spark Florida’s Golf Challenge, but other than that my Spark time has been limited.
No excuses. Some of the things I have been done: played the Easter Bunny at the mall for a month, gotten my hair cut, been ill, quit my care giving job, moved, house/pet sat on two different occasions, lived through the season of my mother’s passing, even attending a funeral on the anniversary of her funeral and I have read several books in my down time. I doubt I have been busier than anyone else this season, just failed to make SP a priority.
Aside from maintaining my water intake, I have not been consistent with any other aspect of my Spark Program…my life program. Of Course, that changes NOW!!! No that does not mean I am giving up water!!! I am back to my commitment of making contact with SparkFriends at least one time per week, back to tracking exercise, tracking food intake, tracking other goals, setting goals, blogging at least once a week, and living a healthy life in general.
emoticonThis being said, I have decided that May 1st I will be releasing friends who are no longer active on SP, I am setting the arbitrary level at 90 days inactivity. I originally said I would be releasing people the week after Easter, but decided my hiatus warranted an extra month or so! If you return to SP after that time I would love for you to add me back. It is not a decision to reject people it is a time management decision. emoticon
emoticonI am finding that Spark People is bringing out the encourager and the pray-er in me, and as a result I am much more encouraged. Hope you have a blessed week and that you are still making a difference in your journey. LYMI emoticon
emoticondiscovered today that i ruined a 130 day streak by not signing into SP on 4/13! Guess that means all my streaks are starting over this week!!!

    Glad to see you back. I understand how we get so busy or ill that you can't keep up with all your commitments but you d the best you can.

    I am glad to see you doing alright. Your brief break from SP is understandable. There are times when we just need sort out our life issues and just exhale. Everything will fall back into place eventually. Stay motivated and we are here for you no matter what!!!

    Secondly, here it comes...
    Stay active in the community, try to read articles and find out new things on informative forums, insure that you track your nutrition, remember that there are ways to slip in exercise and strength training throughout the day, and focus on commitment. Of course the golden rule is the ratio of caloric intake to caloric expenditure. Burn more than what you eat. It's essential. Just watching your nutrition is not enough. People fool themselves all the time because they figure they can do it just by "dieting." It ain't gonna happen. May 16 I will celebrate one year of maintaining. I did everything I just mentioned and so did D. It works. Do not hesitate to ask any questions you might have. I don't have all the answers but we can track them down together. You can do this. Kelly, you've done great so far. I know you will attain your goals!
