Schedule Changes

This last week has been busy. I have been working on the groom's kilt. I have sewn 17 of the 23 pleats. I also worked on the bridesmaids dresses pattern. I was able to figure it out (I am putting 2 patterns together.) I cut out the sample dress on Sunday. Today I worked on the bodice. I am behind on my sewing schedule, so I am a little frustrated. But the dress is not going to be as difficult as I thought it was -- the difficult part was figuring it out.

I have to reorganize and figure out my workout schedule. It kinda went out the window back end of February when I started a new daycare client. The kids weren't picked up until 6:00 pm and cut into my time to go to the gym. So, I started going more in the evening and my husband said he was becoming a gym widower. So, I really cut back. I have been going to the only 2-3 times a week and trying to walk on the treadmill at home during nap time. But, I am going to have to use part of nap time now to do sewing for the wedding.

March also was a real tough month as far as being extremely tired. My menopause symptoms were at their worst. At the beginning of April I stopped taking Melatonin at night and I started a new regimen of supplements. I am finally feeling like I am coming out of a fog. I still am tired but not like I was. I think I am also sleeping better at night.

However, my schedule is once again changing. A daycare client's hours have changed and they will be dropping the boys off at 6:45 (and they say it might change again even earlier to 6:15). The advantage of this is that they will be picked up earlier and I might be able to get to the gym before my husband comes home.

Well it is late, and I need to get to bed. Good night.

April goals:
Week of April 8-14,
1. Blog daily:
-- I haven't blogged since last Tues 4/11. Things just got too busy or the computer was having problems a couple of nights or I was tired. emoticon

2. Exercise:
--Gym 3x's a week: Mon4/9 emoticon, Wed 4/11 emoticon
Thurs 4/12 emoticon
--Minimum 30 min a day:
4/10 = 40 emoticon, 4/11 = 86 min emoticon 4/12 = 65 min, 4/13=31 min, 4/14 = 15 min, 4/15=rest day, 4/16=44 min

3. Snacks -- one freggie snack a day: emoticon emoticon

4. Read Bible chronologically daily

    I commend you for working around your busy schedule and being resolved to get in your fitness minutes regardless of everything else on your plate. Be sure to schedule in some Me Time too...i.e. relaxation or a nice soak in a hot tub of bubble bath. You deserve it! My hat is off to you girlfriend!!! emoticon Bev

    Oh poor hubby... I agree, see if he will come along! You NEED to do this for BOTH of you, right? Your health is important so you can take care of him too...

    I am constantly amazed at your sewing projects and abilities. I hope the sewing goes really smoothly for you and the schedule becomes "normal" and "easy" for you all!

    It is hard when schedules change and other family needs take priority. Any chance of getting your husband to exercise with you. Mine does and it becomes part of our time together.
