Finding Walking Partners
Tuesday, April 03, 2012
I had been doing pretty good with tracking my food, but coming up with too many excuses why I couldn't get off the couch. I would get started walking and then something would come up. Walking with my granddaughter's was getting tough until I got the right stroller, so I push both half the way and have my 3 year old granddaughter walk with the dog on the way back. I did that so she can get her exercise in too. I even took my adult son with me that is going through some hard times and is on my couch right now. I have an old friend that started calling me again early in the morning wanting to go walking. She works during the week, so I can only go to the park with her super early on Saturday mornings. She likes to go walking at 6:30 or 7 am on a hilly path at the park. Since she wakes me up crazy early on my day off, I get back at her by pushing her how far we walk. We talk about our struggles, but also about the glory of the Lord and what He has been doing in our lives. Its awesome!
