I am officially out of the two hundreds.
This was my first big goal. I have been trying to focus on two pounds at a time to keep from getting discouraged but always had this in the back on my mind. Today at work someone asked if I'd been loosing weight. She's the first so far and it felt great to be able to say "yes I have, thank you for noticing."
I don't have any clothes that are too small and some are too big. I really do feel an improvement in my health and disposition. I have to give the credit to this healthy carb lifestyle and the South Beach Diet. I had no idea what a vicious carb eating cycle I was on. I never felt satisfied and there was an overall sensation that something was terribly wrong but no idea what it was. The first two weeks of Phase One might be the best investment I have ever made into my health. I have not deviated from the program in the fifty-four days since I began the program on 02.06.2012. There has been very little temptation. The only thing of note was the other day we went to the bakery in the evening to order birthday cupcakes for my little ones party and we stood admiring all the goodies behind the glass for about ten minutes while we waited our turn and it all looked pretty amazing.
We bought a box of Skinny Cow ice-cream bars less than 100 calories each on the way out and one of those satisfied any sense of deprivation. The quality of the product was good but it really wasn't that appealing to me. This is nearly miraculous. There have been a number of days until now where I felt this was going too slow. I've lost weight more quickly on more radical diets but felt miserable and couldn't maintain the lifestyle for any extended time. I am so grateful for this progress and it really helps encourage me to continue because I've come to far to give up now. I am really appreciative of all my Spark Friends. How in the world does anyone do this by themselves?
