Kidney Stone

Thursday, March 29, 2012

So finishing up on what I hope is the tail end of a bout with allergies, I wound up going to the Emergency Room last Friday, only to find out I have a kidney stone and that it was enlarged. Meaning it hurt like the dickens….so now one more reason to get healthy. Any suggestions/advice/support you can give regarding being healthy while battling a kidney stone please feel free to post. emoticon

I've had problems with kidney stones, too. The best advice is to drink plenty of water. emoticon

i have never had kidney stones but i do know someone who does. a change in diet and a tweak to their exercise program has really helped them alot. they cut out soda, limited fruit juices and upped their water intake. they also cut down on their meat and upped their fruit and veggies quite considerably. this helps them. i am not sure if you have already gotten this advice but i do hope you find out what helps you. i know kidney stones are painful!

    Oh, Robin,
So sorry to hear you had that kidney stone.
Take it easy for awhile and let the stone pass if that is what you have been told to do.
Hopefully it already has or will do so soon.
Sorry I have no suggestions for you, but do take it easy and don't overdo yourself!

Yikes! So sorry for the trouble that stone must have caused. Do you just have to wait for it to pass? Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
