The Sandwich Generation

Monday, March 26, 2012

Yes, I am in the sandwich generation. I have a 20 yr old still living with me along with my 4 year old, as well as my mother. Well, I guess WE are living with HER. She just can't do things for herself like she used to. So, before my husband left me 2 years ago, we moved in with her to help her.

I am wondering if there is anybody else on here in this situation. I'm sure there is. It can be hard at times, but right now, I don't have any other choice. Like with everything else, some days are better than others.

As far as my diet, well, I haven't gotten very far. My son's birthday was this past Saturday. I could make excuses all day long, but I won't. I have been trying to drink some water. I have also been exercising some, kinda HAVE to due to physical therapy, but it DOES actually make me feel better. So, I think I will continue.

This kinda sounds like one of my negative blogs, I don't mean it to be. Life can just be stressful at times. So that is when I need to think of 3 positives...

1. We had a wonderful birthday party for my little man, he had SO much fun!!!

2. I am on vacation this week!!! Gonna try to get some organizing done!!

3. Right now, my son is waiting for me to help him ride his bike (he can't quite get the pedaling down yet) It feels SO good to feel needed.

Sometimes it seems like I am being pulled 20 different ways at once, but right NOW, ONLY my son needs me...

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful week!!
